TOPIC #1: CANONMATES

I AM MAKING SEPARATE THREADS FOR THE THINGS I WANT TO BRING UP OKAY.

Since we're talking about stuff we want, I'm going to come right out and say this: I would really, really like to see some canonmates? I went and actually specifically noted this on ATP, and it's too soon to really tell if there are any coming since nobody responded to the comment I had left there about it and I don't see anything new on our apps page. I don't think anyone besides me or Jamie had responded to the main advert thread that you made, either.

I've done some asking around among some of my friends too, but so far no takers.

And actually, I'm pretty sure we all could use a few, because it might make it a bit easier to get some threads going that way.

UNFORTUNATELY while true it's something... the mods can't really do anything about. There's such a smattering of people from all fandoms that it's more left in the players' hands to advertise on fandom comms, since it's too much for us to post to everything because there's just one or two characters from each.

But yeah, I've been pimping us on RP!S, it gets occasional mentions on anoncomm, we have a busy and thriving affiliate, I pimped on ATP both as a game and separately, so on and so forth. There isn't much else we can do in that regard, but I'd really encourage everyone to pimp on fandom comms. ♥

TOPIC #2: ACTIVITIES

ALSO I know that most MMORPGs are pretty much "kill monsters and do quests to get shiny new trinkets that make you kill monsters and do quests faster", but even when the GMs put a little spin on it, it gets kind of monotonous after awhile, so I AM GOING TO MAKE A SUGGESTION.

More posts/threads dealing with other activities not necessarily involving combat? The World R:2 has guilds, so once some of the characters here are allowed to start some up, for the love of god DO IT. MMORPGs in general have a pretty hefty social element to them, so getting characters to hang together for common goals that may not necessarily be killing everything in sight = yes.

Examples? Canard; once he's ready, you could have Silabus go around to recruit people who are cool with helping others out. I once seriously considered doing this during my time in Flyff. Or Jamie could eventually make tsunslut start a guild with the purpose of griefing and being a horde of trolls.

I second the guild recruitment thing. Granted, the only guild right now belongs to Silabus and still needs one or two more people before recruitment gets underway, but yes! Recruiting posts sound fun.

Alternatively, there are action threads that are opened in the main comm as well; those can be just be one of those random encounter threads... But then there's always the problem of whether people reply or not. I'm not one to talk since I've been making only text posts lately but- Yea, I lost that train of thought. orz

BUT THE BOTTOMLINE IS THAT I AGREE WITH POSTS NOT INVOLVING COMBAT/GRINDING ETC.

Yes! We're working on different event types and I keep putting off posting in favor of other things to do, but I keep meaning to get up a post where Silabus is basically going to invite everyone to join so they have a place to live, lol. People can be members of multiple guilds, but I just don't want everyone creating guilds that no one joins, hence the character ratio limit.

I had been thinking for the longest time of having Amaterasu start up a guild, but she wouldn't know the first thing to do with it (though Gruntyterasu is still an adorable idea in my head - she'd be feeding it all the time). I still don't think she quite knows what a guild is anyway.

But yes, I do agree on posts not involving combat or grinding or battle talk. I've had a few post ideas to do, anyway, so I may get underway of spamming the comm the next few days with them though...I do hope people won't get annoyed by question posts? Just your everyday, run of the mill questions dealing with where they are from to what their favorite foods are.

They would definitely help in others mingling even if it is just through a text/voice post and learn things about others.

Second, ah...I have a few event ideas that I would like to run past you guys whenever you have a chance? I haven't really been able to flesh them all too much but even if I just give you the general rundown of them you could take them wherever you'd like. (I'll admit, that some of the ideas I got from an MMORPG I was actively playing for a couple of months.)

Personally my muses have nearly-died on me and, like everybody else, I have/had no idea what to do with them... I-I think I might have to drop them as much as I hate to and pick somebody new.

And obviously somebody should hold a picnic sometime! Or have some sort of talent competition?

...and now I'm wondering if that new server will have PvP XD Not just simple PvP either, but capture the flag, holding bases?

There are a bunch of events planned for June that don't involve fighting, but a talent competition sounds fun.
