10 Things A Hero Never Does With His Nemesis - #2: Take Him Home

Sep 04, 2008 23:51

This has been... possibly the weirdest night of his life.

It started in a bar. Alcohol was involved. Then... his nemesis walked in.

Then there was more alcohol. And... stuff happened.

And then he had to explain to a very confused-looking pharmacist why he wanted that much lubricant. Without actually telling said confused-looking pharmacist why ( Read more... )

Billy is still twitching from the unwelcome mental images of naked, imaginary blondes. Is it normal to be jealous of non-existent women? Although, he does content himself a little with the fact that he's clearly important enough on his own to warrant the cover story of three women, not just one.

Unless Captain Hammer normally talks about three women. Does he? Possibly Billy should stop analysing it, and go back to worrying about other things instead.

Like, how he's suddenly at Hammer Hall (or whatever he calls it)... as the, uh, evening's entertainment. Probably.

He's very quiet, not wanting to talk until they are way, way out of earshot of everyone else, and following patiently until they are.

This place has had several names over the years. A lot of the time now, he just refers to it as the Command Centre, even though that is actually only one small part of it.

It's a damn big structure for one man and his ego, although given that it is his ego, perhaps it makes more sense. Beyond the high gates is a long driveway up to the main building, which is gleaming white, with a wing jutting out from either side. The right-hand wing is where he keeps the jet, and as such seems designed to open up in several different ways. The left-hand wing, meanwhile, is the garage. Where, sadly, he can't go for several more hours. Responsible heroes don't drink and drive.

Very responsible heroes don't drink. But where's the fun in that ( ... )

The arm on his shoulder... it's a familiar feeling. And it now casts a different light on... times in the past. Everything sort of... collapses in on itself, and the poor man simply cannot cope with the amount of... significance. In one heavy arm, laid across his shoulders. Holding him in place. Pushing him down. Making the hairs on the back of his neck prickle, and his stomach churn with... something ( ... )

The urge to just... just take him here and now is so very strong. The realisation actually makes him jump inside, simply because of all the very many reasons why this is so utterly not what he expected. Not that he'd ever thought about it before tonight.

Now? Now it's all he thinks about.

The kiss is firm and laden with intensity, but not so much as to be rough, or even demanding. It reassures him, though, because he knows exactly what he's doing when it comes to kissing, and helps to suppress some of the... confusion inside.

His hands move slowly down Billy's sides to his waist, holding him for a moment before drifting back up. It's so different to being with a woman. Contours in different places. But... somehow...

Finally, the kiss breaks - that whole oxygen thing again - and he's staring at Billy from very close up.

And not knowing what to say. Why doesn't he know what to say? He always knows what to say!

Apparently, he's getting better at intense staring, though. Always helpful to pick up new skills.
