Wait, Steeleye are touring the US again? I saw them in Seattle in...1996? I think? And they haven't been back here since...Gosh, that was a great show.

When doing this for feste_sylvain I realized I have been to a total of 8 concerts, not counting small street festivals or minor folk festivals.

Is live music just not your thing? Or have you now vowed to attend more concerts? :)

In Anchorage, the musicians/bands that came up there were either just not my thing or way too bloody expensive. I saw Ani DiFranco because some family friends were stage managing/running sound... so I worked for them backstage. I saw Violent Femmes because a good friend of my dad's is Glenn Gano (older brother of Gordon Gano) and so I got to meet the band and they gave me a backstage pass to their concert. Bjork and the Killers I saw at the Austin City Limits festival (I count them, because they were actual amazing concerts in the festival setting).

I just haven't had many opportunities past that. I can't afford to go to a lot of shows. I prefer theater, symphony, or opera if I'm going to spend that kind of money.
