Japan trip report, day 12

Finally on board the shinkansen for Tokyo. We checked out of the ryokan this morning, but left our luggage while we spent a final few hours traipsing about Kyoto. We bought day passes for the Raku 100 sightseeing buses again and set off for Nijo-jo.

ooh, nice! I always found japanese donuts a bit tasteless- they are less into sweet pastry there-, but the variations like curry were pretty entertaining. so nice that you met someone helpful on the train! It's those little encounters that make all the difference. And we got truly confused by the train station too.
