Yes, I know many people think public proposals are tacky/pressuring/etc. In general, I don't disagree. In this case, though, I think it's pretty clear that he anticipated her reaction correctly and that she was really into it.

Okay, I think they're tacky, and, crap, the first time I ever proposed it WAS tacky (at a wedding reception), but this one was totes awesome.

Public proposals are very, very tricky things to pull off--you have to be very sure in your heart and gut that your partner really does feel the same way about you, or else it is just too much pressuring and gross. This, though...*awwwwwwwwwwwww!* :-) (Not to mention the sheer coordination and rehearsal time necessary to make something like this work...BTW, what's the name of the song?)
