I have completed the grand effort! 50,139 words, including some chapter headings and the like, but still over 50,000 words of prose. Today's session took 11 hours because my brain is melting. I have just finished writing 25,000 words. Started at 7:30am. Finished at 6pm. Even managed the occasional break to eat. Brain is FRIED. We'll see if I can keep this up tomorrow. I have recordings of all of it, including my keystrokes so you can see as I make horrific typo after horrific typo. Thanks for all of the donations so far to Child's Play!

I am looking for video encoding advice. I'm about to record 24 hours of video from screen capture and my camera overlayed onto the screen (via iShowU HD). Suggestions as to codecs, fps and sizes that will give me enough movie to be able to edit, without consuming 500GB, would be greatly appreciated.

I'll be making the big attempt on the 19th and 20th of December! We have a date!
