Catching up a little bit...

We've seen the Sleepy Hollow finale (a combination of "Oh, no!" and "Yessss!"), and the series finale of Dexter (Awwww...). We're current on The Blacklist and Almost Human, and almost there on White Collar and The Following. Still haven't started watching Justified yet, though, or gone beyond 3x01 of Sherlock.

The Following is something I always ( Read more... )

Mycroft, really? I could easily have seen you as a fellow Watson, but still. So, ARE you, in fact, the government? ;)

Really! I was sort of expecting Watson too...or Mrs Hudson so Mycroft was a bit of a surprise. Seems I am, in fact, the government. And now I'm worried!! ;)

I mostly want to watch Nick and Munroe, with sides of Hank, Rosalee, Juliette, and Reynard. But the whole political machinations side of things doesn't interest me, and I don't like the blond woman at all, so that's mostly a combination of Snooz and Good god, what a waste of Shohreh Aghdashloo!

Beautifully Unique Sparkleponies is a book written by Chris Kluwe, which I'll assume has essays and such. The title comes from a blog post he made in response to a Maryland senator's attempts to bully-pulpit against gay rights. Links to the whole story are here, which includes access to Kluwe's original tirade, and then to the followup with toned-down language that is more cracktastic than toned-down, at times. "Alas and alack, my tophat has fallen!"

I figure it has to be worth reading at least some of it. He's a smart and articulate guy. :D

We have "State Patrol" where I live as our state police officers/highway/freeway enforcement and I think they're colloquially referred to as highway patrol sometimes. I wonder if Grimm used highway patrol for legal reasons or if it was just a flub.

I hadn't thought about the legal reasons at all-- though other shows use "California Highway Patrol" and "CBI," which are real entities.

It's probably just my kneejerk reaction to something that feels like ignorance of the Pac NW, despite the show being set there and using such great locations. :D

I often wince at what shows/movies that aren't filmed locally do to the PNW, so I hear you.
