Wonderful! And I love this line:

His faith in himself was slipping, after a lifetime of knowing so strongly who he was that he'd even chosen that truth over his family.

Perfect Sam. <333

Thank you, Dei!

The show has been awfully hard on him these last couple of seasons, but when we look back to who Sam was and how fiercely he stuck to that even with what it cost him... the recent Sam is more "lost" than anything. Up until S4, he has always made the right choice, no matter how much he had to fight with John or Dean to make it.

Thank you! You can see why your drabble has been delayed, though I started it last night so there's hope on the horizon!

I love the rare occasions when I can still write those first times! Oh, show, how you make it difficult!

This was beautiful. Such unruffled and persuasive writing...perceptive and blessedly succinct.

Love how the boys finally succumb so delicately and passionately to their incestuous obsesssion...
And the realisation that their dual commitment to stay firm and choose their own destiny is their only choice...and one I heartily applaud. Freewill reigns. Bravo.

Definitely one for safe keeping. xx

That's definitely what I want to see. In particular, Sam giving in would represent a lack of respect for who his character is. (Not to mention that I have no interest in watching the show go that direction anyway.)

Hold on tight, to your ideals and each other, and you can weather it out! And stave off some of the loneliness along the way too.
