I love Lucas, and especially how he interacted with Dean very nice to see a fic about it especially from his pov

It's funny, but for an Gen outsider POV of Dean, Lucas was absolutely the first person who occurred to me. Dean helped him transform back into himself, using human patience rather than anything new or magical.

I loved what we learned about Dean in that episode, and only wish we'd seen more of it over time.

yeah, i miss some of the realness of the first season before the deals and the demons how much it seemed the boys touched people's lives and not only saved them

So glad you liked this! There were a lot of little things I liked about this episode, including the hints of the boys' pasts, the female character, and Lucas himself (and how Dean unexpectedly got through to him).

Thank you! That episode is a favorite of mine, because despite how Sam teases Dean about not knowing anything about kids... Dean raised him.

And his interactions with Lucas-- including knowing when NOT to push-- show the kind of intuition that I wish we'd seen more of over the years.
