Here's a link for two fics where they are at MIT at the same time. More Gen than Slash. Slash overtones. I loved them. http://dancinbutterfly.livejournal.com/tag/tony+stark/jim+rhodes

I totally did! I immediately wanted it after seeing the movie, but all my f-list people were writing Tony/Pepper or doing crossovers with other fandoms. When you've got Terrence Howard there with the manlove, why look any farther for the slash? :0

Damn, but I was up late. That was something I meant to follow-up on and had totally forgotten. Edited now, thanks to you. I hate it when those little details fall out of my brain. :0

Yay! I'll go read them. Funny, too, because that's the person this story was written for. :0

I'll admit that I was all about Tony/Pepper after the movie. I usually only get into the slash after I've read a fic or two after I've seen the movie or a few episodes. I don't know why but 9 times out of 10 I don't really see the slash. But once I read it, I'm into it.

That is funny. I hope she writes more.

Wouldn't have discovered fanfiction for this one without that Fandom Free-For-All request, so thank goodness for that! We need more of this pairing. :)

Until I saw the request in the Fandom Free-For-All listings, I thought I was the only one whose mind immediately went to Tony/Rhodey and not to Tony/Pepper.
And darn if your icon doesn't show every single reason Jim would have gotten caught up by Tony in those tight t-shirts then and now. The view of Tony's arms and chest in those shirts was one of the most impressive parts of that movie. Yowza!

I wish I could read more well written Tony/Rhodey like yours!
This is a undervalued pairing, and it's a shame because best friends romance is my fav relationship!
Thank you for sharing this gem with us, you made my day! <3<3<3

I really liked the two of them together in the movie (my only exposure to them). There was a complication to their relationship that you could sense-- uneven love, frustration, Jim having to be the liason to the uncontrollable Tony Stark, and something deeper between them in affinity and affection that was being thwarted somehow by who Tony had become. Such rich territory! And the handsome actors involved make it even more irresistible.
Well, I'm so glad you enjoyed this, and thank you so much for letting me know exactly how much. That made my day. :)
