Sam's options are surprisingly limited.
The world is crowded with pretty girls- some with the liquid-eyed sweetness Sam wishes he wanted, others all boldness or sexy sassiness he can't resist.
He sees them in grocery stores and bars, even on cases they work. But he can't stay long enough to start anything up, and after Jess… he honestly wouldn't dare.
At the end of each day, there's Dean instead. It's fast and intense with Dean, both deep-down wrong and here-in-this-moment right. Sam should say No, but he rarely does. Dean loves him, steadily, imperfectly… always.
That has to be enough.
