Yay! New fic! And you just got home, too. It's great to have you back. :)

You know, the thing I love about your drabbles is that they really do evoke something tangible. The language constraints - since I know you write 'true' drabbles only - work well for you. Vivid illustrations in a hundred words. That trumps the thousand word pictures, I'd say.

I really like how the title works here. I love how the common expression is laden with extra meaning - the invocation of 'devil' in this context suggests a religious interpretation of 'know'. As in, 'the devil you know biblically'. Mwhahaha... :D

Thank you! I do hope for a "happier" ending for them, one of mutual love and choice and not anything like 'settling' or convenience. But once in awhile, you've got to go the angsty route...
