Out of curiosity, how does Devit giving people advice work with him viewing himself as outside of humanity? Does his advice come from an outsider's point of view of them making stupid mistakes, or is it more this is totally what he'd do if he were having those issues?

The former! He doesn't ever consider it in terms of "If I were having that problem, I'd do this," which is why when he DOES have the problem, he often doesn't think to do the same thing. It's more like--"I can see that you're being stupid, this is what you should do to fix it." Notably, his advice is usually self-serving for that reason, ha ha. The only real reason he CARES about anyone fixing stupid behavior is if it benefits him. Like when he tries to give Shuri advice and make him more mentally stable, it's because Shuri's his best friend and he's less fun to hang out with when he's unstable! So Devit sees his problems and goes "Okay here's something that might work to fix them and also it's the thing that will be the least trouble for ME in the long run."
