Summary: This video is for the TV movie Iron Jawed Angels. The movie shows American women's struggle to get the right to vote - pretty tough. They hounded senators, petitioned the president, held rallies, held a parade that started a riot, picketed a war-time president, got arrested for their tactics & finally (after their prison hunger strike hit the press) won women the right to vote! It's hard to believe, but this isn't that old of a part of our history - women got the right to vote in the US in 1920. That means that there are still women alive today who, in their lifetime, were not allowed to vote. So watch this video, see the movie, and appreciate what those women sacrificed so that you could cast your ballot on election day. Oh yeah, and one more thing, GO OUT THERE & VOTE!!!
