So, I got a lovely surprise tonight and got a Dreamwidth invite. I was planning on buying an account on 4/30 because I want these guys to succeed and I'd like a robust competitor/alternative to LJ that's really fan friendly.

I thought I'd have until 4/30 to think about changing my username, but now no time!

Accounts will be free, but as with LJ, you'll have some limited features. That way, you can try it before spending more $.

The experience was no harder than setting up my LJ, only I'm a few years better at it (though still mostly incompetent. Hah.

I've also been thinking on buying an account there once it opens. I read the TOS and they sound nice... Congratulations on getting the invite!

I'm still smiling ear-to-ear over the opportunity for that name. The others I had considered were all snagged on LJ. Most of them haven't been posted to FOR YEARS, if at all.

And no, I am NOT leaving. How could I?!
