Crotchety grandmothers! Befuddled in-laws! Singing lepers!

Yup. Must be Fringe Festival time again.

The Minnesota Fringe Festival, 10 days of glittering theatrical insanity, commences on August 6th & runs through August 15th. There are many, many shows I could be telling you to go see (& probably will, before it's all over), but for the mo, only ( Read more... )

Singing lepers Speaking of which, have you heard Weird Al's Party at the Leper Colony? Funny stuff. Lots of parts-falling-off puns.

Is there any chance that this show would be, I dunno, recorded and made available online somewhere? Failing that, any chance that a certain short lesbian's piece would be available to be read online by (or emailed to) certain interested tall straight men?

Just curious. And yes, stuff is good. That's why I've got way too much of it.

The show will definitely be recorded. Its online availability is highly doubtful; however, I might be able to put some of this newfangled technology to work & make you a copy. And a copy of the piece itself will definitely be winging your way sometime early next week. Wheeee!

Oh, you bet I could get you a copyish sorta thing!

As for the ep....yeah, that scene cracks me the hell up, too, but, jeez. Last night while watching it, PF & I cried at the end. Again. Seriously - 2 intelligent adults crying over a sitcom. And a rerun, at that. ::shakes fist at Bill Lawrence & John McGinley::

Actually, the buttons are optional this year. I guess the complaints piled up. But they do get you a $2 discount off all tickets! So it's $12 for just the ticket, or $3 for the button and $10 for the ticket. A bad deal if you only want to see Eli prance about (and who doesn't?!), not counting the business discounts, but if you plan to see as many as two Fringe shows, or more, the button will save you money.

What? Why yes, i AM volunteering as a box officer this year. Why do you ask?

Thank you! I haven't been through the big bad volunteer training yet, so I didn't know such things. That makes a lot of sense; I'll go fix my entry now.
