Crotchety grandmothers! Befuddled in-laws! Singing lepers!
Yup. Must be Fringe Festival time again.
The Minnesota Fringe Festival, 10 days of glittering theatrical insanity, commences on August 6th & runs through August 15th. There are many, many shows I could be telling you to go see (& probably will, before it's all over), but for the mo, only one show matters.
Mine.
Yes, the rumors are true; I am in the Spoken Word Fringe this year. I'm in a show called
Agog, and let me tell ya, it's gonna be fantastic. Because I am not alone in my Fringeish endeavor. Other performers who will be regaling you with tales wild, witty, & generally wondrous include Lane McKiernan, Curt Lund, Allegra Lingo, & our fearless curator, Amy Salloway. With a line-up like this, you can't possibly lose.
We're performing at MCTC, in the Whitney Studio. There are 5 performances, scheduled as follows:
Friday, 8/6 @ 7:00 p
Sunday, 8/8 @ 5:30 p
Wednesday, 8/11 @ 8:30 p
Friday, 8/13 @ 2:30 p
Saturday, 8/14 @ 10:00 p
Tickets are $12, or $10 with a button you can buy - once - for $3. The button also gets you discounts on stuff. And everybody likes stuff.
So please, come see the show. You know you want to. You know you love us. Resistance is futile.
