I should feel bad about profiting from someone else's catastrophe. But I really need the money.
I start a new assignment tomorrow. Very long-term with the possibility of going perm (will the firm pay for my psychotherapy? Oh, come on, people; one of you must've seen Haiku Tunnel. Laugh, damnit). The receptionist at this company was riding her motorcycle without a helmet. She got in an accident; I got her job (why couldn't the high school PSAs have been more like this? Woulda made me sit up & take notice more than movies about dimfizzes who die on prom night 'cause they're making out on the train tracks). Not a company I would've sought out on my own, but it seems like a good gig, & this temp agency is really good about finding jobs that fit me.
And the Fringe starts in 5 days. Yeah. Sure. Noooo problem.
