It's that time again, of course. Time for New Year's resolutions. I like to take advantage of the multitudinous New Yearses that I acknowledge: Days of the Dead for spiritual resolutions; Gregorian for more "worldly" matters (despite the fact that my spirituality is very much "of the world"); etc. But I didn't really have resolutions this past Days

In my personal symbology, Fire is represented in the metaphorical by passion, will, and action; in the physical by the circulatory system; and in the calendrical by Summer. Thus, bicycling being an action about which I am passionate, which gets the ol' heart and blood pumping, and which is associated primarily with Summer, goes under Fire.
I associate Water with compassion. This is a fairly common neo-Pagan trope, possibly linked to tears. The act of giving is therefore a Watery one for me.
