Fun with new icons & the USPS.

Woo-hoo! Check out the spiffy new icons. The default picture comes courtesy of cloudscudding, who took it at the Really Decadent Guys premiere. It's the best picture that's ever been taken of me. Thanks, lady; you do awesome work.

pretty boys & lj icons - what more does a dyke need?

We need geeks. Lots of geeks.

Also, I like the icon. Cloudscudding did a sweet job on that. It did take me a minute to figure out who it was at first (in the full scale versions), until I saw the one that brought out the red in you. Then I knew!

Well, I have you, and I have purplegeek. I think I'm set on that front.

Sorry. I was just imagining racks lined with guys in ugly shirts with pocket protectors zipping out of a white emptiness at my command.

I think I've been spending too much time at the keyboard, eh?

Wow. Can't believe I missed the reference. Must be running low on geek-fuel.

I now also have tapes from gem225.

I'm glad that you got them, and thank you for letting me know.

I love Alison Bechdel's DTWOF books. Marvelously witty and sexy stuff.

I saw her speak at the University of MN once. She's marvelously witty & sexy, herself.

I had the pleasure of seeing her speak at a local bookstore, and I agree. She's gracious and kind, too. :-)

OK. My wickedly cool Alison Bechdel story: When I heard her speak, I was supposed to take my friend Chris's copy of Post Dykes to Watch Out For & have her autograph it. Due to many factors too boring to go into, I didn't. A friend suggested that I rip a page from my notebook, have her sign that, & put it in the book later. When I gave Bechdel the paper & explained what had happened, she not only signed the paper, she freehanded a Mo with a speech bubble that said, "Thanks, Chris." I believe he has it framed somewhere.
