I saw her speak at the University of MN once. She's marvelously witty & sexy, herself.

I had the pleasure of seeing her speak at a local bookstore, and I agree. She's gracious and kind, too. :-)

OK. My wickedly cool Alison Bechdel story: When I heard her speak, I was supposed to take my friend Chris's copy of Post Dykes to Watch Out For & have her autograph it. Due to many factors too boring to go into, I didn't. A friend suggested that I rip a page from my notebook, have her sign that, & put it in the book later. When I gave Bechdel the paper & explained what had happened, she not only signed the paper, she freehanded a Mo with a speech bubble that said, "Thanks, Chris." I believe he has it framed somewhere.
