Oooh, wow. This is lovely! It's an awesome snapshot of the Prince's life before the events of Tutu. I love how you describe him, so sweet and kind. I can definitely see him talking to the swan!

And yay! The Swan Princess! That's a wonderful twist. It's sad for her knowing that she'll never have the Prince. But then she does find someone of her own (if you planned that her story would be followed), so happy endings all around! ^^

I really love the imagery, and how you worked the prompt into this!

Thank you! I'm really glad you enjoyed it! ^^ I really enjoy toying with character's backgrounds.

And yeah, all of the fanfics in this series (...unless I decided to randomly make a few AU) will be trying to follow the canon facts as closely as I can, so yes, she definitely does end up with her Knight. (In fact, the first fic in this series ends with some Fakiru WAFF. ...Yeah, I'm not writing these in chronological order, just as the themes fit.)

And thanks again! I had fun working the prompt into the story. ^^

Very beautiful. It has a dreamy, fairytale like feel to it - of course, the inner child in me longs for a happily ever after from the scenario, but the PT fan in me understands ongoing stories.

Yeah, poor Tutu never really gets a happily ever after in her story, huh? Although I guess in a way Ahiru does, so in a way Tutu does, too...

Thank you! ♥

Heh, for a bit there I though the missing princess was Rue, but I guess it really should've been Tutu we're talking about since the challenge is about Ahiru. XD;; But I love this ficlet! I wish there are more "Prince and Raven" prequel style stories out there, where every main character from the story has a counter part in the original fairy tale that they supposedly sprang from. The only exception to that I guess would be Ahiru though, since she's technically a character from outside the story.

Eeps, sorry I'm rambling. Anyways, I look forward to more fics from you!

Yeah. XD;; That's why I called it "not-so-surprise pairing" on the Tutu com, since I came right out and said "it's part of the Duck!fics!"...the "surprise pairing" was really for the people who'd be reading it on 31_days since it's kinda supposed to be a surprise.(...Even though it's obvious. Oh well XD)

I loooove stories that are set within the "Prince and Raven" universe, too...I'm hoping that all of my 31_days challenges will have a few fics set there (except for Rue--I'm not sure if she'd have a counterpart in it or not...it doesn't seem like she's a "reincarnation" of anyone from the story, like Fakir).

Don't worry, I love rambling! <3 I'm glad you enjoy it, Mangaka!

...Speaking of, I've been meaning to ask...do you prefer "Mangaka" or your real name?

Most people online call me Mangaka or Mangaka-chan. Using my real name will probably confuse people since I hardly ever introduce myself by my real name on the internet (unless it's for school). ^^;;

Ohhhh~...so sweet yet so sad. It made me gushy inside. <3 Even more so cuz I was listening to some song called "Missing You More" xDD;;
Awesome job! You portrayed Mytho's (or rather Siegfried's) emotions very well. I especially liked the lonliness part. It made him seem more human (cuz, really, even story characters are not that perfect :P).
&& ohmygod~, Tutu~...such a sad princess. I should write a fic about her since she deserves a happy just as much as Ahiru does. Mytho, you jerk! :P lol
Nice Swan Princess reference btw. Although, it really isn't a Swan Princess reference (gack! Dx) since it was also based off of the original but that's what popped into my mind as I was reading it.
Again, lovely and awesome fic for a really overlooked pairing. I hope you write more. ^^

I like making people feel things with my writing, so...I'm glad! ♥ Oooh, that's a good song for this. XD

Yeah...even if Siegfried is a "perfect" Prince...once the story starts to become real, it seems like he can't be perfect to the point he's always perfectly happy. For one thing, Drosselmeyer would never allow it (sadist that he is)...plus, many of the emotions Tutu gives back to the Prince are pretty negative. Loneliness seems to affect him much more deeply than some of the other emotions, too--disappointment and sorrow we don't see mentioned too much, but Mytho mentions loneliness at least a few times after he receives it, and even before he gets it Ahiru/Duck thinks his eyes look "lonely". So...yeah, I started wondering why he might feel so lonely, and thought "well, if you loved everyone, and everyone loved you, but you 'belonged' to everyone--when could you really be yourself?" Annnnd that's how the idea came about. Sorry, I'm rambling, aren't I?Yeah, poor Tutu. XD; Although I guess to her the happiest ending concerns Prince ( ... )

You make a good point about the story becoming reality. It's virtually impossible to always be happy. & it's b/c of this that I like Drosselbrussels so much cuz w/o him and his sadistic-ness (is that even a word? lol) the story would just be boring xDD;;
Oooo, very good point on the "being loved by everyone but not really being understood" (ack, sorry, I think I totally messed up your meaning but I get what you're saying). I guess a lot of people who are considered to be "special" like Mytho also qualify. People who are also so busy admiring someone sometimes fail to see the person they admire is human as well. Rambling is guud. No need to say sorry. x3 I'm actually doing that, too, I guess. Ah! Sorry! lol xD;;Ah, Tutu is so selfless it hurts. I think it was (this is gonna sound cruel) best that she disappeared when her role in the story was finished b/c if she continued to stick around, it'd be a lot more painful for everyone. For her, she'll probably still be in love with him, so even though she wishes for his happiness, it'll hurt ( ... )

Hm, After introducing Lohengrin in a previous story, I had been wondering how you were going to tackle Tutu herself. I like the way that she and Ahiru, like Lohengrin and Fakir, are separate, yet the same. (But that sounds odd...I suppose I mean that Ahiru is almost the reincarnation of Tutu, but not, for they are both have their own independent consciousness. Does that make sense??)

I hope to see more of these, should you choose to write them. ^_^

Yus, I'm hoping to go into all of the "Prince and the Raven" characters while working on the respective challenges. ^^ Lohengrin stories for Fakir, Tutu stories for Duck, Prince Siegfried stories for Mytho...I like exploring character's backstories a lot.

And I know what you mean. ^^ I'm starting to think that when Ahiru's Princess Tutu, she's sort of 'channeling' Tutu--IE, being given her skills, as well as some of her personality--but still Ahiru, in a way? Not quite Tutu? Because there's a few moments when Ahiru-as-Tutu seems to be much more Ahiru than Tutu, like when Fakir tells her not to be stupid in Akt 13 and she looks over at him with a very un-Tutu look and says "What? Stupid?!" But there's some times where Tutu doesn't seem to act like Ahiru at all...

But anywho, yeah, I'm hoping to write much more about their backstories. <3 I'm really glad you enjoyed this!

Hmm.^-^ It's interesting to think that Tutu and Lohengrin exist in their own right.(How cracky would it be if they both showed up on poly for a curse day or something? Fakir would spaz at seeing "himself" most likely. And I suppose Tutu would princess-angst over Mytho. ...They'd probably do some Ahiru/Fakir worthy bickering as well. XD )

Yus, please continue to write!

I'm sure they do. Fakir's a "reincarnation" of Lohengrin, but that doesn't mean Lohengrin was just like him...and Tutu's obviously different from Ahiru, even if they share a lot of things. Of course, both of them are dead now... (XD Actually, on a curse day Ahiru had to turn into Tutu, and I toyed with the idea that maybe in the City the connection's somehow different thanks to the different pendant and Tutu is much more TUTU than she used to be...complete with her telling Fakir, in exasperation, that he reminds her too much of Lohengrin sometimes. [In my mind, they didn't totally get along. If only to give Tutu the chance to be annoyed at him. XD])
