I like making people feel things with my writing, so...I'm glad! ♥ Oooh, that's a good song for this. XD

Yeah...even if Siegfried is a "perfect" Prince...once the story starts to become real, it seems like he can't be perfect to the point he's always perfectly happy. For one thing, Drosselmeyer would never allow it (sadist that he is)...plus, many of the emotions Tutu gives back to the Prince are pretty negative. Loneliness seems to affect him much more deeply than some of the other emotions, too--disappointment and sorrow we don't see mentioned too much, but Mytho mentions loneliness at least a few times after he receives it, and even before he gets it Ahiru/Duck thinks his eyes look "lonely". So...yeah, I started wondering why he might feel so lonely, and thought "well, if you loved everyone, and everyone loved you, but you 'belonged' to everyone--when could you really be yourself?" Annnnd that's how the idea came about. Sorry, I'm rambling, aren't I?

Yeah, poor Tutu. XD; Although I guess to her the happiest ending concerns Prince Siegfried being safe and happy...so in a way it's a happy ending for her, but not quite.

Well, I think in the original story Siegfried and Odette weren't engaged (although I'm not 100% sure), so...yeah, the little tidbit that they were almost engaged was definitely inspired by Swan Princess. Actually, originally I was going to say they were betrothed, but then I realized that makes Prince Siegfried come off as a big fat jerk in the finale. "I know you and I are engaged in all, but I'm dumping you for the other Princess. That cool with you?" He has some tact...

Bah, sorry, I totally talked your ear off. XD; I'm really really glad you enjoyed it. <3

You make a good point about the story becoming reality. It's virtually impossible to always be happy. & it's b/c of this that I like Drosselbrussels so much cuz w/o him and his sadistic-ness (is that even a word? lol) the story would just be boring xDD;;
Oooo, very good point on the "being loved by everyone but not really being understood" (ack, sorry, I think I totally messed up your meaning but I get what you're saying). I guess a lot of people who are considered to be "special" like Mytho also qualify. People who are also so busy admiring someone sometimes fail to see the person they admire is human as well. Rambling is guud. No need to say sorry. x3 I'm actually doing that, too, I guess. Ah! Sorry! lol xD;;

Ah, Tutu is so selfless it hurts. I think it was (this is gonna sound cruel) best that she disappeared when her role in the story was finished b/c if she continued to stick around, it'd be a lot more painful for everyone. For her, she'll probably still be in love with him, so even though she wishes for his happiness, it'll hurt her just as much as she is happy. Mytho, especially, b/c he would realize how unfair he was to the person who struggled for him the most. About others, I'm not so sure but yeah...that'd be awful. T_T

I watched the ballet (a version of it but I can't recall who directed it) and no, they were not engaged. He found her by chance and fell in love with her at first sight. There also was hardly any mention about the moon in the transformation from bird to woman but everybody knows it happened a night so no harm in tweaking the details.
&& gasp, you're right. How can he call himself an honorable prince if he did that?!?! xDD

And don't worry about it. Conversations like this one make me happy. Hehe ^^ Plus, it definitely gives you more insight into a series you love so it really proves that isn't just "another typical magical girl genre."
