Awww, this was lovely. I got teary for Kate!! And it's quite difficult to get me teary for Kate, beware ;) it totally makes sense for something like this to happen IMHO. it just feels very canon-ish and the ending was really poignant.

I feel a bit the same about Kate, and yet strangely she's the only Lost woman I can write. I guess I kind of understand her confusion as Jack & Sawyer both have such interesting characters! But yeah, my opinion is that she won't find happiness with either of them. Thanks for your great comment! ;-)

Aw, angst is totally my thing, although I'm sorry it was a bad day that inspired it :/

I do really love this though, the tone to it, and how well the song works with it. This feels very IC, especially for Kate, and I love the final line.

Oh, I'm so glad you liked it! I don't often step away from the slash side of things, but this just called to me after I heard that song a couple of times recently and it seemed so Kate to me.

The bad day is past and things are looking brighter, so it was good that this helped me past it! I am quite into the angst myself, and I do find it helps to get the stories down like that to move past more easily!
