I was a HUGE BeeGees fan in high school...Barry was going to be my husband and that was all there was to it. I still adore them. I wonder if my love of countertenors and high male voices stems from my love of them :) They had an incredible sound, and you're right, no one really matches them for harmonies :D

And I can relate to Interview with a Vampire too...although I think I prefer The Vampire Lestat ;) I guess its because of Lestat's view of himself versus Louis' view of him, lol. When I think Vampires, Anne Rice hit the nail on the head.

Yay for the Bee Gees! Hee - I love that Barry was going to be your husband! MY favourite was always Maurice though - he just looked good and was slightly off the beaten track, which is generally my thing! And yeah - they're tough to beat ( ... )

did you know that I never read Interview with a vampire? I've never been much into vampires, tough I've read Bram Stoker and two Twilight books out of a favor for a friend (shudders). One day I'll try it!

it was lovely reading this!

Oh Lou - even if you're not into vampires, you really should give it a try sometime, although I would say skip all the crap when Louis and Claudia go searching for vampires in Europe, and pick it up again in Paris when they meet Armand - all that filler is pretty much unnecessary to the furthering of the plot. The point about "Interview with THE Vampire" (sorry, as I said in the comment above - I'm a bit funny about this, and I don't mean to be awful pointing it out, but somehow it holds a different meaning to me when it's called "A vampire") is that this was the first vampire story I had read that was actually not specifically a horror story. Anne Rice was the first person I knew of who actually humanised her vampire and made him seem like a conflicted, real human-turned-vampire (who didn't have a proper understanding of what he was to become) as compared to an unknown vicious monster who just wanted to 'drink your blood'! Louis had feelings and in some ways, this is a love story and/or a self-discovery tale much more than a ( ... )

I love that you can see Hubby's wallet before you can see Hubby *giggles*

LOL, Batty Von Headshrinker. Yep, that would work :D

Liquid chalk? Please to explain.

Hee! Well, he left his wallet on the computer desk in front of me; he was sitting behind me! (but it does sound good when you put it like that! I'm feeling like Mr Krabs from Spongebob now: "I like money")

I love making up names and that was what sprung to mind when I read the question! haha

Liquid chalk, strange stuff that it is, comes in a bottle-thingy with a big spongey tip and you shake it up and use the tip to write on glass and other shiny things (mirrors mainly) and as it's chalk, it wipes off easily and cleanly (I guess you could use it on white boards too). It's a newish thing from a stationery shop called 'Smiggle' which generally is lovely but far too expensive, and the girls (not just my own) love it!

I know what you mean now, I've seen liquid chalk being used in store windows, especially during sale times. I've just never had cause to use it myself so I guess that's why it wasn't ringing any bells.

I love the sound of 'Smiggle'. How can a shop not be great with a name like that! But why is it that all the best stationery shops are always expensive?! 'Snot fair.

Oh Smiggle is so fun! But yeah, they're always expensive aren't they? This is the website, so you can see what gorgeous things they have: Smiggle NZ
