Phew, that's over.

So, court. Went okay, despite the setbacks. The quick version is that both claims were dismissed, which in simple terms means we both walk away and no-one pays anybody any extra money. Which is all I wanted, really - just to clear it up and move on. There's a bit more, but for now, I can feel relieved and go on with my life. Thank-you Mr ( Read more... )

My Hubby is a transport manager. All his trucks are issued with a cheap disposable camera so that if there is ever a bump or dispute over anything the drivers can take pictures at the scene. It's such a good idea I carry one in my glove box too now.

On one occasion a truck went into the back of a car. The driver duly took pics etc. When the claim came through from the other driver he was claiming for a completely different car (colour, model, registration!). So although there had been a bump it just got dismissed as the insurers had evcidence that the bloke claiming was pulling a fast one.

Well, that's a sensible idea. I did have my phone with me, which takes photos, but unfortunately my brain wasn't quite as with me, so I didn't think to do anything like take a pic! I definitely will if any such thing occurs again though. It takes a bit to remember all this stuff when you're a bit stressed out! Thanks for the tip though - definitely a good one!

Thanks. Just hope he won't appeal, but will deal with that if and when it happens. *hugs*

I didn't know about your court ordeal, I'm glad it went ok. that guy sounds like a jerk, I hope he doesn't appeal. I can imagine all the hassle to go there and back, poor little you *massages your neck and shoulders*

dinner? babysitter? yay! sounds great! if you are like me, it doesn't happen that often, and it's always welcome.

YAY! he is great, isn't he? *sigh* there is something in his music that always got to me, no matter what. ok, some of his stuff was weaker, but I'm very faithful to him! lol! if you want anything else, tell me!

*kissy kissy!!!*

Yeah, we can but hope on the court front. *leans into massage gratefully*

Yes! We haven't had dinner out for over a year (alone) so this is a well-earned break!

Yes, Colin is lovely - I was even singing along with the first song, though I didn't know it! Always a good sign with me! Plus the version of "Into the Mystic" is pretty good too! I love Van Morrison, so for someone to cover him well is a good thing!

*kisses back, Miss Piggy!*

Yeah, he's a dickhead. All for NZ$250, which is like US$125. How's that for dumb? I paid NZ$300 on mine, so lost more. Idiot.

Yeah, we are looking forward to going out - we haven't done it in more than a year, just us for dinner, I mean. It should be good! Thanks!

Ugh. To me it sounds like this guy is one of those who gets into fighting things in court. Bythe time everyone's taken off work and so forth, it's not worth it, especially for those small things. Glad the ref dismissed everything.

Saturday night date! WOO!

Yeah, exactly how I feel about it. He just couldn't seem to see that I'd lost just as much if not more than him already - no matter who's fault it was (which really isn't clear) - it's not like I did something on purpose and have lost any less. I just hope if he does appeal they still look at it the same way.

WOO! Indeed *waggles eyebrows* Am looking forward to it! Might even wear my strapless dress!!! (Very daring, I have so little to hold it up with *grin*)
