Phew, that's over.

So, court. Went okay, despite the setbacks. The quick version is that both claims were dismissed, which in simple terms means we both walk away and no-one pays anybody any extra money. Which is all I wanted, really - just to clear it up and move on. There's a bit more, but for now, I can feel relieved and go on with my life. Thank-you Mr ( Read more... )

Sounds like the guy who were in the accident with is a first class wanker. Appeal...my lord, let's hope good sense prevails on his part. Oh well, you're off the hook for now, best not worry for now as you say. Thanks for keeping us in the loop. *big hugs*

What a twit! (Him, not you) I'm sick of men (NZ drivers) who think that a penis means they are in the right (frex this morning - "Merge like a zip, not like you have an eye on the last pie:, I'm supposed to let one car in front of me, not one and then you and then you and you because you are special and ooooh a male I'll let you in".
Westies Pffffppphh!!!
(especially blokie ones with Fords and Holdens .... and 4WDs and ... ok, all blokes).

Bet he runs out of bottle to appeal (or assumes you will).
Go you!!!!

i know exactly what you mean! Although this guy is an immigrant, so I can't say he's a typical Kiwi male... still, let's hope it goes no further! Thanks for your thoughts and wishes!

Hey, e-m me? I haven't heard back from you about getting together, and would still really like to!

Hmm, that's weird, I never got an e-m from you... oh well. Not this weekend for me either, but maybe... oh hang on, my sister's b'day coming up... maybe I'd best say the weekend after. Will drop you an e-m soon!

I have nothing to add that's not been said above, but another comment reminded me of this, and I thought it might make you laugh:

When I went to see my pals the other week, we got to talking about car accidents. J was telling us that she always carries a disposable camera for such eventualities. And a tape measure. And a pencil and paper. And chalk.

We all admired her organisation, until H said "What's the chalk for?"

I got in there before J could: "The dead bodies."

Tee hee! Couldn't resist.

How we laughed...

Ah well, seems to be over for now, let's hope nothing further happens! Thanks for your wishes, love! And for wishing me fun at the weekend! You're dead right, it's not easy! We go on about three 'dates' a year!
