Arsenal lost in a humiliating game today.

So I've been trying to get pumped - and this post is actually helping! It must be the magic of Marcelo dancing.

Marcelo - oh Marcelo! He makes me think of rainbows and babies (that never cry) and ice-cream (chocolate, strawberry and vanilla - the stripey-fancy kind but with a thicker vein of strawberry - a whole carton all to myself), and sunshine and falling in love and sunshine and more sunshine.

He is JOY. And I love him!

And you're making me all happy thinking about him!

I don't ask much from this season, just the same things I do every season: treble, Cris for Ballon d'Or, Barcelona to fall into a hole. You know, the little things. Also for Real Madrid to adopt Manchester City's media strategy and start releasing videos of the team doing stupid things like decorating cakes. I really, really want that.

Get hyped, guys, our kits are extra transparent this year and our new coach's true loves are cured pork and wine instead of himself and drama. And remember: no matter what happens over the next eight months, we're still the prettiest.

i have to say, the fact that these kits are obviously not meant to retain integrity after exposure to even the slightest moisture is doing a lot to reconcile their fugliness in my eyes.
