Mou can bite me. I've never actually come close to hating him before, but if he contiues like this, well, then I'll be consumed. At least Perez is finally beginning to defend Iker against his bs, even if he has yet to come to Cris' defense.
Arbie has given a two-part interview to La Sexta on top of his radio interview, and srsly, he is not out to make life easy for himself. Just stop talking.
I'm just going to try out my theory on you, c/p from a comment to 13oct regarding the mess Mou left at Inter:
In many ways I guess Arbeloa is the player that best fit the Mou mold. He didn't lock down his starting spot in the NT until EURO 2012, he'd never won anything as a starter and he's always been under fire from the press. Frank Lampard always tells the same story of how Mou caught him in the showers one day (!) and told him he believed Lampard was the best midfielder in the world. He didn't believe it himself, but it made him anything to pay back Mou's trust. That kind of tactic was never going to work with many of our players - if he told Iker or Cris or Sergio that they were the best in the world in their position back when he arrived in 2010, their reply would prob. have been that yes, they were and they knew that. Self-belief, bordering on arrogance, has always been in plentyful supply in Madrid and it has often been an asset - it's a large part of the winning mentality and fight-til-death ethos. Capello said that was made that
( ... )
Don't care about Mou's comments anymore, he can stay at Chelskeet now. We should have traded Modric for Mata though! Happy Cris has not responded.
"Xabi wishes to see how he feels in a year (physically) and if he feels well enough, then he'll stay in Madrid. If he doesn't, then it's not a problem if he does not wish to renew" :( What about getting Gundogan? To give Xabi some ease. Maybe Isco too, he was the highlight of today's EURO game.
Isco was awesome today! And a bb Morata goal! There have been persistent rumours and meetings at the Bernabeu and he fit's well with Perez' recent promise to bring in more Spanish players, but Pellegrini wants him for City as well. The good news are that the English press is reporting that City does not wish to enter an auction and feel that his wage demands are too high for a position where they do not feel they currently lack depth. So Isco could happen, though he won't be cover for Xabi.
I hope the rest this summer will be the break Xabi needs to keep playing at the highest level for a few more years. I very much doubt Dortmund will be willing to let Gundogan go, they are losing more players than they can handle as it is and he has no buy-out-clause. But Nuri is still only on loan to Dortmund, so maybe, maybe a deal can be worked out. Verratti is another option that could be really interesting, but I fear PSG would do everything in their power to avoid that rn. But stil, if Ancelotti arrives it just might happen anyway.
Isco cannot go to City! He just cant cross over to the dark side. Why do they even need him? They have like a million and one short midfielders as it is.
I recently started watching Verratti (since PSGvBarca/Valencia I think), really impressed by him too. Plus, I don't want Xabi to go anywhere! Ever.
whereas we mostly have tall midfielders, so clearly he should come to us! I hope Perez will be using his 'what Perez wants, Perez gets' wiles in the that direction (as well as Verratti's - think of how he could develop under Xabi's tutelage!) this summer, instead of spending them all on Bale.
AS has a really gossipy article on the dressing room today (here: http://futbol.as.com/futbol/2013/06/07/primera/1370564270_282194.html) and among the reported player complaints are that since January Mou has pretty much only participated in the part of the daily training that the press covered. When the press left after their allotted 15 mins, Mou left the training to his assistants. There are also complaints about the fact that for three years running the training has been exactly the same, no matter the circumstances, and - the worst part - that even though they've conceded goals galore from set pieces for ages, there has never been any attempts to adress that
( ... )
The set-pieces, passing game and small spaces has acutally been a really central part of the whole 'mole'-story and I'm beginning to believe it all by now. I kind of like that despite all the politics, egos and personal issues, they still take the time to complain about set-pieces.
So Mou decided he's off in January, Perez said no way, and Mou actually set out to get fired by pissing on the team to see how far he could go to force the hand of Perez, awaiting his re-election. And Perez is still saying that he believes if we'd have won the CL, Mou would have stayed. Time to come out of the fantasy land now, Flo.
What I am thinking is that if Cris wasn't such a self-motivated person, this season could have ended up looking even a lot uglier for us. He literally carried this circus.

I began laughing so hard I'm choking!
Mou's comments on CR7 - which allow the world press to label him a prima donna and unable to take tactical direction - SCREW YOU.
Arbeloa - Just STFU boy. Media training: needed.
To end on a happy note: yay Raul!
