Cristiano Ronaldo recently gave an interview that was uploaded to the Portugese Football Association 's official YT channel. I've included both parts of the interview in case there are people here who are fluent in Portugese, but have also included a translation behind the cut for those among us who are not. (I know I'm certainly one of them).

I translated the first part yesterday in order to post here and then forgot all about it *facepalms*

But there's at least a couple of question missing from the first part (mostly FA propaganda), I'll check if they translated everything else when I get home.

As for the questions, it's sort of adorable how hard he tries to be diplomatic in all his answer (like the luck thing). Seriously though, it was bad enough post-2004 with Figo, if Cris retires without winning something for Portugal I'll have to fling myself out of the window and think of the children, won't someone think of the children?

Also ngl, Cris winning the CL in Estadio da Luz WOULD be all kinds of awesome, specially considering how little Benfica fans like him.

Ahh! The post I got this translation from did put this between brackets: talking about the Presidents of the FPF... so could that possibly be it? If so, they probably left it out but did translate everything else? Couldn't hurt to check again, though! I wish I could do it myself, but Portuguese is a language I sadly don't master.

I really hope he manages to win something with/for Portugal. They all deserve it for how hard they've been working for it, and it's obvious (and normal) that he wants it so so bad.

Also YES to the CL. I want to see that shit.

Yeah, that was it. Like the NT captain could say anything other than he thought the current president was doing a great job *eye rolling* I'll make sure everything else in in there later today! :)

I always keep forgetting that his first tournament for the NT was Euro 2004 and we all know how that turned out for Portugal and Cris.

I've always been afraid I'd catch on fire the moment I set foot in Estádio da Luz, but I may just have to cross my fingers and hope for the best if that does come to pass.
