Something crazy is happening to me.
Let's start from the beginning.
July 31st, 4am. My alarm rang.
I went to bed at 1:15am because I had a suitcase to pack (it took me hours to do it since I started at 10pm and I suck at packing suitcases), so I was more than exhausted but I found the courage to wake up and without being aware of what was happening to me since I still was half asleep, I found myself on a plane leaving
Paris and heading to
Moscow.
Once we got in Moscow airport, sister and I were very slow to leave the plane so our group was the last one to get to the customs where this not looking nice at all lady was waiting for us behind her desk. I was the first one to go in front of her. She told me something in English I didn't understand because her accent was terrible and then, when I kindly asked her if she could repeat, she almost yelled that she wanted me to hand her my flight ticket and my passport. Then she asked me to take my glasses off, to put my hair behind my ears and she started staring at my face and then at my passport (and I look terrible there xD ) as if she wanted to make sure I was really me. She did this for us five, each time it took at least 30 seconds and we felt like we were being scolded xD
After this scary episode, we had a 5 hours wait until our Moscow-Narita flight. We walked around the airport and then I slept for maybe 2 hours, woke up, learned that the boarding gate had changed, went to the new place, slept again and when we finally got on the plane, this was when I felt that our trip was beginning for real.
It had been a while since the last time I took the plane but I know I have never taken such a
good looking one. Sister and I were like THE tourists, always taking photos, saying stupid and obvious things, commenting everything, getting excited over anything especially when we started to play snake in the middle of the night xD
On this plane,
dinner and
breakfast were perfect so I ended up eating much more than I use to...OTZ
Apart from that, I basically spent the flight sleeping/waking up until we finally got to see
Japan lands. A few minutes later, a plane was landing in Narita airport with two girls crying on board 8D
Starting from there, I was completely in a "Me want to speak Japanese!!!" mood so I got so disappointed when I was the only one among us five who got a "Bonjour, comment allez-vous?" when we were at the customs T___T (I'm still wondering how this guy could knew I'm French since I don't look like a "typical" French at all and I still hadn't handed him anything .___. )
After that, we went to pick our luggage and you can't imagine how relieved I felt when I saw my suitcase coming since I was sure it would be broken into pieces or lost somewhere in the world.
This was when each of us went on his own. Sister and I went to meet the man who said he'd came to pick us up and fortunately, he remembered our face because I could have never recognize him x)
This guy is seriously one of the nicest person I have ever met. Back in July, he helped us to get
tickets for the Jingu Gaien Firework Festival in Kokuritsu and yesterday, he came from Kanagawa, leaving his three kids at home just because he was worrying about us being alone in Japan during our first day, he helped us to buy our Suica, he bought us delicious
matcha/anko shaved ice, he found a place near our hotel where we could buy our yukata for Saturday's Edogawa Firework and for next week's Jingu Gaien Firework and he said we could come to his place to play with his kids if we wanted to *___*
Once he left, we got back to the hotel and sister was starting to feel bad (she was tired because of the flight and it's REALLY HOT here so her head was spinning) so she went to sleep since it was still early, maybe about 4pm. When she woke up, we went for a ~1hour walk. We wanted to go to the Sky Tree but it wouldn't have been really interesting by night so we just took
a photo from far away and then walked to Kaminarimon.
On our way back home, we bought some food and ate it while watching London Olympics. It was weird, but we were both sure we knew who was the journalist commenting...We listened closely and we are 95% sure it was Mogi! x)
We had to wake up pretty early to be at our real share house (the one we are in until the end of our trip) at 10am the next day so we went to sleep by midnight...
Our first day in Tokyo couldn't have been better ♥
