[It might be raining, but Cheyenne was never the sort to worry about the weather. The cold rarely has any effect on her, so she usually doesn't have to worry about getting sick. With an umbrella just big enough to cover herself, she's sitting on the edge of a bridge, just like she always does. But she'll wait until she senses Alf about to walk past her before turning to call out to him. Her voice is calm as ever.]
I had not expected to see many villagers walking around in this weather.

He hears her voice, but has difficulty comprehending the drowned words due to the rain. However, that doesn't stop him from starting -- he knows that voice, the owner being one reason he's decided to come out in the first place. He whips his head in Cheyenne's direction, shoulders tense, though they slack when he sees that she's dry. Safe from being pelted by the water.
Now what does he say?]
. . . and there aren't many, I assure you.

[A pause. She's not looking directly at him, but she can still sense him and "see" how he's standing. His arms are down.]
...are you not carrying an umbrella?

[He admits this slowly, as though he's only just now considering the fortune in that. He can't recall a time he was ever sick, not even slightly.
At the question, he shakes his head.]
No, I didn't think it would be necessary.
