Pregnant and fat.

Dec 11, 2007 19:01

Well, I thought I was doing okay. I'm not trying to eat for two or anything, but I went to the GP today and discovered I was fat.

"You've gained 9 kilos!" she said.

I'm 21 weeks - which is only half way. Apparently she would expect an average woman to gain a total of 10-12kg for the entire pregnancy.

Less chocolate and more exercise - doctor's

Did your doctor make piggie noises when you were stepping on the scales? restaurantkiler December 12 2007, 00:31:24 UTC
If so, (s)he may need to work on bedside manner

You needed to pay a doctor to tell you that? I've been telling you that for free whenever i see you! Did he at least rub your belly for good luck?

That sucks.... Maybe the scales were wrong... My OB doesn't weigh me which i think is nice and i can't imagine that someone who is primarily a healthy weight would really have problems gaining a little extra in pregnancy. When i had Tristan i gained about 12 kilos up unitl the final week when i gained an extra 6 kilos. Bizarre! And he's normal and healthy and i was normal and healthy.
Moderation. And we can work on the swimming excercising during the holidays.
