In one of the YouTube videos, I showed up my latest treasures of perm rods and rollers that I received from Hess' grandson. One of the treasures turned out to be "pen stick" perm rods. Last weekend, I had the tv on while making breakfast when I saw something on tv that I rushed over to photograph. On an episode of I Dream of Jeannie, Jeannie has her hair in rollers and a hairnet while at a beauty salon. The client in pink behind her is getting a haircut. During the scene, the male stylist accidentally snips too much hair.

In a few hours, I'll be having my hair bleached, dyed purple, and cut into an inverted bob...cut quite high in back. Too bad no one wanted to watch the video production at Carmen's shop. My how my hair grows! After wetting and slicking my hair with temporary purple hair coloring + hair gel, I combed the fringe over my forehead. It was like it grew overnight to obscure part of my vision. In a hurry to get to work, I grabbed my husband's cheap dollar store scissors to hack away at my fringe. I cut at least 1/4" to 1/2" in some spots ( Read more... )
