The first three times I died I didn't feel anything at all because I was shot, but the last time I died I was crushed by something, too. So I guess it's because I already know what it feels like?

You think so? There wasn't anyone around when it happened, so I doubt anyone could have saved me... I don't think I'd live very long after being crushed by an Onix.
