I ran into Lady Kamizuki yesterday. I’ve been able to avoid her completely for the last five years, so I guess it would have happened sooner or later. Things haven’t changed at all, though. She looked right through me like I wasn’t even there. And maybe it’s just me, but she might have seemed a little glad that Izume wasn’t with me at the time.

I’m starting to believe it’s entirely possible to drown in paperwork. Which is not a very dignified way to go, especially for a shinobi.

Anyway, once I get all of this done, I might pay Hanato a visit in the hospital.

I was late this morning because I tripped over a kitten and dropped all the scrolls I was carrying. No, I haven't been around Kakami lately.

It’s good to get back in the field and know that my skills haven’t gotten rusty. The mission went well, and it was nice change from sitting behind a desk or running errands all day. But...I sort of missed working at the Hokage Tower.

I’m going to regret saying that, aren’t I?
