Star Trek is good for the soul. Finished, finally, with Star Trek: Enterprise, I've moved on to the Original Series, which, I haven't rewatched in (counts fingers) almost seven years. *facepalm* wow ( Read more... )

Oh, sweetie. Crap, I am so sorry to hear this.

Gah. Worst week EVER. {{{{{you}}}}}

Please be careful, and be safe. I hope it's a good trip. Wave to my bro from the airport. :)

Oh damn. Boy this really is the day for bad news on my flist.

{{{Hugs}}} to you and your entire family but especially your dad. I've just gone through a very similar scare with my father and for the time being they say he's okay but it's the sort of thing that could change quickly and he felt the same way all he was concerned about was surgery. Learning that your dad felt the same makes sense to me after listening to my father explain why he was so dreading that part of it way more then any diagnosis.

I'm glad ST:TOS can still bring you joy and that you're going ahead with the planned road trip, because if there's one thing I've learnt over the years it's that life does go on and we just have to fumble our way through.

If you ever need to talk or vent or whatever, you know where I am.

...not that shatner-based comedy is a remedy for bad news, but I hope it brings you a little cheer.
