It was the Friday before Valentine's Day, the big day itself being on Tuesday. It was about midday at school and Quinn was at her locker, the relationship Artie and Quinn had developed - being girlfriend and boyfriend - was still secret because she still didn't want people to judge him and quite honestly, to judge her. She was still vain, though ( Read more... )

Artie had been planning something. He knew that she didn't want anyone in Lima to know - not yet, though he had hopes that one day that would change - so he simply decided to take Valentine's day elsewhere. At least it was on a Friday so hopefully it wouldn't be a problem. He also planned to use the weekend to it's full advantage.

Wheeling up to his locker, he spotted his secret girlfriend by her locker. He saw her waving to that student from their history class and he frowned slightly as he approached, opening his locker, and putting in it the books from his last class. "Hey," he said quietly, glancing up at Quinn.

Quinn heard him and gave a quick glance down at him, a small smile on her face. Sure, they had Glee club together, so it'd be normal if they talked, just not too much. Before they started hanging out during the summer though, they rarely ever talked, so Quinn liked to keep up appearances.

"Hey," she said softly, still fiddling with things in her locker.

Artie looked up at her, giving her a small smile that didn't quite reach his eyes, before leaning into his locker, pulling out his books for geometry. "How are you?" he asked softly, not drawing any attention to the fact they were talking. Just how she liked it. He hated it at times - the fact they'd got so close through the summer, constantly talking, and now he had to hide everything.

"I'm pretty good. You?" She said just as softly, giving a little glance around to see if anyone could see they were talking to each other. When she was satisfied that no one was noticing, she looked down at him, the smile from before still on her lips. She wasn't really fazed by them being a secret, she just knew it was necessary. It was just the way it had to be, but for how long she wasn't sure. She was fine with it though and she assumed for the most part that Artie was too.
