[Phone]

For the past few weeks I've had to go to school, even though I am not an “adult” it is still demeaning to put me as a student. I could easily teach most of the subjects offered. [There's a small pause] Also these teachers don't know how to teach properly, they sum up information and don't give details. One might need to know them, it's ( Read more... )

evening, phone, i mean she is the same rank as a head ma, to put a super smart person in school, park, it's kinda pointless, what is ocd?, walking

Considering the teachers are a mix of drones and those trapped here it is doubtful there would ever be a decent education gained from attending such classes. But, it could always be worse, a small inconvenience yes, but hardly unbearable.

That is true, one still learns enough but someone should instruct the teachers who aren't drones. I don't know how schools are normally set up but there seems to be to many gaps when it comes to telling someone information about certain subjects.

This entire town is a farce, of course there are gaps when giving information.

Even with gaps of information present you could still figure something out, even if it is harder. Though most people around my age give up due to not understanding or just don't wish to find more information. [Or it's just called being lazy and not wanting to go talk to someone who's been in town longer.]

Then there's nothing left to do except pay attention to the subjects you cannot teach, despite them being rare.

That is one way to look at it, this place seems to have thrown out the idea of people already finished with school at a young age. [She hadn't been in school for years at this point, even then Atlas was completely different from a normal school.]

Ah-- Prodigies, you mean? Well, then in which case I, being a teacher, wouldn't mind such special cases only attend enough classes to fulfill the minimum requirements to be safe from droning.

Yes, there seems to be a few people who meet that standard. I do not know what the limit on skipping or missing school is but if there is a way to get past the system then I feel like it should be used.

It's torture, ze. Pure torture. I love learning, but I hate this school crap.

Learning isn't torture, but the way this school system is set up one would find it harder to understand and learn certain things.

...I was referring to being forced to go to school and the format of it as the torture, ze. Not the learning.

Being forced to go is another matter. [It is terrible, there are far better things to be doing if you already know the information being taught.]

Though, being forced to go is the same for any normal school correct?

Even if you find something to entertain your self, it's still spending hours and hours sitting at a desk. Along with the fact a teacher might get mad if you're reading a random book in the middle of class or "goofing off".

Well, you can't really expect the teachers here to be anything great. Most of them are drones, and.. well, you know how those are. And the actually normal teachers most of the time have been hired for a subject they don't even know much about.

It's just this town's usual chaos.

A complete overhaul of the system might be for the best. One cannot gain any information if things are set up like this. Even a set of free study blocks might be more useful then having people who cannot teach a subject very well.

It's not like the people in charge here particularly care whether or not we learn something in the school. Going there is all just part of their system, that's all there is about it.

That is to be expected, the system for somethings in this town don't make much sense in the long run, but almost everyone finds a way to live with it or work past it.

Though the school system is quite irritating, I have yet to find a way to skip or not go with out some sort of backlash.
