[Phone]

For the past few weeks I've had to go to school, even though I am not an “adult” it is still demeaning to put me as a student. I could easily teach most of the subjects offered. [There's a small pause] Also these teachers don't know how to teach properly, they sum up information and don't give details. One might need to know them, it's ( Read more... )

evening, phone, i mean she is the same rank as a head ma, to put a super smart person in school, park, it's kinda pointless, what is ocd?, walking

Well, you can't really expect the teachers here to be anything great. Most of them are drones, and.. well, you know how those are. And the actually normal teachers most of the time have been hired for a subject they don't even know much about.

It's just this town's usual chaos.

A complete overhaul of the system might be for the best. One cannot gain any information if things are set up like this. Even a set of free study blocks might be more useful then having people who cannot teach a subject very well.

It's not like the people in charge here particularly care whether or not we learn something in the school. Going there is all just part of their system, that's all there is about it.

That is to be expected, the system for somethings in this town don't make much sense in the long run, but almost everyone finds a way to live with it or work past it.

Though the school system is quite irritating, I have yet to find a way to skip or not go with out some sort of backlash.

Yeah, if you don't go every now and then, they'll drone you. And that's something I'd rather not have happening to me.

So for that much I can tolerate a useless day of school every few days.

If you go for a day and then skip one or two no one will notice? The chance of being droned for missing one or two days is fairly low it seems.

It's probably not as much them not noticing as it is them just not caring altogether.. As long as you go every now and then to keep up their make-believe illusion, they're apparently fine with it. I've tried it out before.

I see, so people must make use of that all the time correct? If they catch someone out of school are they at risk for being droned?

... That's actually a pretty good question. I've skipped school quite some times without being droned, but I don't know if that's the standard or if it's just my luck for not being caught by any inspector of sorts.

Luck doesn't have any value when it comes to calculating the chance of being caught. I have yet to see anyone with that job, so this town might now have any to start with.

Well, if there are real inspectors it's pretty obvious there's a part of being lucky about it as well. If they happen to not pass your house or wherever you are in public at the moment, you get lucky.

You may consider it luck, but it's a variable that can be calculated. Though the normal human would rather just say it's "luck" instead of a percent chance.

In that case, how would you want to calculate such a variable? It seems like you'd have to take way too many things into account.

It is only natural for an alchemist of Atlas to be able to calculate such a thing with out any problems. Even if I wasn't able to do so with the data given, I would set up an experiment and work off those results.

Alchemist of Atlas? [ She repeats it slowly. ]

What is that all about?

Alchemists are in plain terms scientists who study everything in order to predict what will happen.
