I have been handling this pretty well up until now, but I will be the first to admit that I am NOT anymore.

All of my neighbors are leaving the country or at least going to Kansai (Kyoto, Osaka, etc).

We have planned power outages twice a day until the end of April. Starting today.

We are also locally low on food because we aren't getting deliveries ( Read more... )

Is moving back home in the wake of all this mess an option? If it is, I'd endorse it.

There would be a lot of complications. I can't leave Japan without voiding my visa. Getting the re-entry permit right now would probably be even more difficult than it was the first time.

Also, I have paid rent until the end of July. UT has my tuition money already for the following semester, which is set to start in about a month.

aww i`m still here! I share your pain of the stores not having much in the way of food but don`t worry. I have been making large meals like pasta dishes and putting the left overs in the fridge.

There seems to be a lot of panic but try not to get caught up in it. If you need someone to talk to or hang out with let me know! I`m on the Chiyoda line (Sendagi stop).
