 So, I don't usually get all crazy about the stupid shit politicians say or do.

But I'm really, really, really, REALLY upset by something I read tonight, and appalled that so many people would vote to do something so stupid and inconsiderate and dangerous:

Eliminating funding for breast and cervical cancer screening and contraceptives for low income women is so incredibly illogical, counter productive, and cruel, that it is unbelievable that any sane person would 'buy into' anything like that.

However, the reality of the situation is that many of the government officials who control the purse strings, can't see beyond the end of their noses. I'm sure that if what they 'do for others' would be done unto those they love (ie., the women in their families losing access to those things), they would certainly be singing a different song.

I agree with you; the culpable men need to be reincarnated as low income women. And the women who make these sorts of decisions need to have their health care yanked. It is so easy to make decisions for others, when you are 'taken care of' healthwise and don't have to worry about not being able to afford those screenings or contraception.
