The platforms at the Metro Center station (downtown, near my current office) are covered in gorgeous billboard ads for Fallout 3.  This is:

a) One of the most badass things in the history of the long and fruitful association of bad and ass;

How on earth does any politician allow a line like "she's worked with her hands, and knows..." to stay in the text, then deliver it as "she's worked with her hands and nose"???

So I'm in Little Rock, Arkansas on business travel (bleh) and I'm driving to the hotel from the airport, when I pass a billboard advertising "Woo Pig Chewy" ice cream.

Is this a very good thing or a very bad thing? The ice cream, that is - I know the answer to the "me being in Little Rock" part...

I've mentioned to friends and coworkers over the past few days, I'm really starting to feel the weight of time since my last real vacation. Plus I've just suffered through a DC summer, plus I haven't seen too many people in far too long ( Read more... )
