Probably every time, but the mailers aren't strong enough to ensure survival. (If they were clever, they found the correct economic balance between cost of shipping and cost of replacement.)
If the breakages all happen during shipping, then it stands to reason that a popular disc would be broken more often. Every shipment (on average) puts some more strain on it, and eventually it gives out.
