Read the links in the userinfo for the community. It is rude to ask anyone to do your entire diet, exercise, and fitness program for you. You need to define your goals first, then do research, then when you have done some front work you can take your detailed questions here.

I'm going to go ahead and tell you to suck it up and deal. Being out of shape sucks and it makes going back to working out suck. I was miserable for at least the first month I went back, and I was not doing hardcore workouts by any stretch. If you are in debilitating pain, scale it back a bit, but minor/moderate aches and pains are part of life. I think I am in some state of DOMS pretty much all the time but I've gotten used to it.

+1. A 10 days absence was all it took for the pain and sufferin' to come back when I returned.
