Yah I mean I've 'heard' that there is really nothing you can do about DOMS. Some people say stretching helps; others say it does nothing. But I don't really KNOW.

Hmm, well if stiffness is a component of DOMS, maybe what stretching does is relieve that component? I know my hamstrings are always pretty loose but when they have DOMS they get painfully tight so stretching helps that. But it never makes the DOMs go away completely, just partially alleviates that one symptom.
