I sent a package to Germany. And well it seems to be stuck some place for 12 days. This is the message I get when I look it up online.
Priority Mail International Parcels Addressee requests own pick-up - Item being held, addressee being notified September 06, 2012, 6:24 am GERMANY ( Read more... )

OKAY. I called again. This guy was way nicer and much more helpful then the last person I called. They say it's at her post. He let me know that she could use my tracking # to help them find it. And if they can't he told me to call back and they'll look into what the heck happened to the poor thing.

I called again, and he says that it's with the Deutsche Post at the depot. He seemed pretty sure it's not at customs. But who knows. USPS hires people to read off the shipping info from the internet. I wish I could use my damn tracking number at Deutsche Post.

Holy crap I can look it up at DHL. I think it's telling me it's stuck at customs. She hasn't gotten a notice to pick it up....

This is the normal notification you get until customs sends a letter to the person in Germany to let them know where to pick up the package (which customs location) - can take up to 3 weeks for that to happen - don't let anyone tell you otherwise, not even someone working for DHL lol

Balls. First time this has ever happened to us. Any idea how long they'll hold it for? I'm sorta freaked out because she's going on vacation.
