If I told someone I would be somewhere "around 8:00 in the morning", I would be there within ten minutes of either side. The company who's cleaning the roof today apparently interprets it as meaning "anywhere between 8:00 and 8:59" and showed up at 8:50. From my experience with contractors, you're lucky they showed up on the right *day*.

This is an outfit we've dealt with before and been happy with, so we figured we were okay there.

Scheduling was kind of an issue, I admit, since they initially said it would take three days and somebody would have to be home (to check for roof leakage) *all the time* for three days. One day I can do, but three is ridiculous. Happily, they came to their senses and conceded that one day would probably be okay.

Huckleberries could be growing up there, for all I know. :)

I did just realize that I probably should have covered the workshop bed with a tarp or something, because the roses there are going to be covered with ick from the roof. Oh, well.
