1. I recieved that free southwest voucher that I need to redeem before next september. Thats a fun decesion i need to make still.
2. My grandparents gave me $500 for Hanukkah that they want me to spend. I usually take money like that and put it towards bills, living expenses and other things that will make my life easier. But they want me to ( Read more... )

the new Nikon D40 is a bit cheaper and still has some good features. It's probably the one I am going to get when I save up enough money. I think it costs like $599. But you can probably find it even cheaper online somewhere.

-obv the direction im leaning as well....i just appreciate the support. it makes my decesion easier. I have two point and shoot digital, which i like just fine, but the color pete gets is phenomenal. He also does cool shit with the different settings, and i just cant do that with the little guys.

2. Oh, ive got a big hard drive...its external. (though the last one did crash and is still waiting for me to get the pics off of it..)its just my computer that sucks balls. i think i need more ROM? RAM? something that makes it move faster than snails pace.
3. Shooting RAW- say what?

I'd go with the SLR, too, as that is what I really, really want. I saved USA Today's guide to picking digital cameras, if you wanna take a look at it...it has lots of good info on shutter lag times, clarity, etc.
