What, no! I'm serious. How much should I wear (layers?), how thick should they be, what material would be best, etc. etc. :X

You should get one of those really thick/insulated/blah type of parka-things with a fur-trimmed hood! And invest in tuuuurtle-necks like nobodie's business. Get some XD quilted vests becaue I think they're kitschy. :x

But what's a girl living the the tropics doing, telling you about this!

<3 for Wool. Get the good kind (I'll go check up the name) becaue- MERRINO WOOL - because they aren't too hot and itchy when you wear them when it's not that cold, but it does a really good job at keeping you warm.

And get those... thermal underwear.

How cold would it be?

Right here where I am 8 degrees in the rain means I wear a long-sleeved shirt under a t-shirt under a sweatshirt under a thick windbreaker jacket thing. My poor legs get the enjoy the warming prescence of regular pants.

If it'd be snowing you'd probably want more then what I wear.

Layers. If you are going to invest in winter clothes NO COTTONS.
Get yerself an awesome black wool coat! Cost a bitch, but are ridiculously warm.
Hats? Do your ears get cold?
SCARVES. If you like them.
Hoodies. A must.

I recommend Columbia jackets! Mine has been keeping me warm for 4 years now, and it's only now showing signs of wear due to my stuffing like 5lbs of things in each inside pocket :}
